I began my search for my very first home in October of last year. At the time I was working with a Realtor and Attorney that weren't the kindest and only cared about their incentive. I decided to contact Lisa and that was the best decision that I could have made. Not only did Lisa help me find a diligent respectful attorney, she also helped my Dad secure a new rental. Lisa was patient with me and understanding. Lisa could have encouraged me to purchase higher priced property but she genuinely wanted to see me in a great place, in a great location, that would not be a financial burden on me. She helped me consider all of the factors when purchasing. She was nothing short of amazing. I consider Lisa a friend now. If Lisa doesn't have the answer she will find the answer. When I met with Lisa at her office we sat down and she took notes and listened to everything I said I wanted in my " Dream Home". She quickly scheduled some showings in the Lake Villa and Algonquin area. As a first time home buyer I quickly learned that looking for a house a long process and more of eliminating the ones you don't like. When we headed north she took me to Lake Villa and Lindenhurst. Two city's I knew nothing about and never even considered. She was very knowledgeable of the area and showed me different routes to take, restaurants, bars, shopping and always pointed out things I never really thought about. We looked at so many houses , the process of buying a home wasn't always fun. Lisa was very upfront about things to look for, what to avoid and to keep in mind what I wasn't willing to give up. After one offer that fell through and over twenty or so houses that I looked at I was ready to throw in the towel and wait it out. Lisa could tell what I was looking for and how often I talked about a big yard near the woods. She called me one night and told me to cancel any plans I had and that we need to see this house she found. I have to admit that after seeing so many and not falling in love with them I was hesitant and tried not to get my hopes up. When we pulled up to the house I fell in love with not only the house but the neighborhood as well. The back yard was exactly what I wanted and more! The inside was move in ready with 3 beds and 2 baths and it was located near the highway which was very important for me. When the offer went in and she called me to tell me I got it! I had to ask her over and over if she was messing with me. Lisa found me not only my first home but my dream house. She never gave up on looking, always listened to what I had to say and was so helpful in my first home buying experience. I would recommend Lisa and the team at Berkshire to anyone out there. If your looking for a tough, personable realtor who wont stop looking for houses until that dream home is found then Lisa is who you need to call! Thanks again for everything and much more! She did not disappoint! She worked wonderfully between us and the landlord to negotiate terms that we both felt comfortable with. She is also very personable and brought up things that we might have otherwise never considered. We will definitely go to Lisa when it comes time to purchase!

We, my fiance and two teenage children, started looking and as houses with our requirements became available we received emails from Lisa letting us know. When it came down to the wire and we needed to find a house to rent, Lisa was was flexible with showing us places at all times of the day. Since rentals moved quickly, Lisa was willing to meet us on weekends, in the evenings and even dedicated entire afternoons to showing us options. Once we found a place and moved in, Lisa continued for some time to check in on my family to make sure everything was satisfactory with the house, our move, and made sure we had everything we needed. Finding the right home for my family was extremely important. Lisa treated us like family. Just what I would come to expect from a realtor.

It was certainly a stroke of luck. Lisa was willing to show us an array of different properties and finally we landed on one that was a short sale. We were able to get a home in Inverness for 350k which is a steal. Unfortunately we were not able stay long (6 mo!!!) and were afraid we were going to lose a ton of money, plus I had done a bunch of renovations. So we called Lisa to sell the house. She hired a professional Chicago photographer and gave us a great marketing program that made our home look like a real showplace. The listing looked absolutely beautiful. She was able to get 105k more than what we bought it for and it sold in 10 days in a soft market - at the end of the day we MADE money (which was good since we didn't want to wait). Thank you Lisa! While the sale actually didn't complete due to Fannie Mae raising their demand price to an unreasonable level, Lisa did everything in her power to make the process go smoothly. She was very knowledgeable about the process, stayed in constant contact with Fannie Mae negotiators, was very diligent about providing them any documentation they needed and worked hard to find potential buyers. You won't find a realtor who'll work harder for you or always be quick to respond to your questions or concerns than Lisa.
